Principal Scientist Downstream Process Development at AGC Biologics

Jesper S. Øemig has a background in scientific research and development. Jesper S. currently holds the position of Principal Scientist Downstream Process Development at AGC Biologics since April 2022. In this role, they are responsible for downstream process development, transfer of processes, and implementation of technologies. Prior to this, Jesper worked as a Scientist Downstream Process Development at AGC Biologics, where they were involved in process characterization, validation studies, impurity clearance, and resin lifetime analysis. Before joining AGC Biologics, Jesper worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where they focused on the structural and biophysical characterization of cancer drug targets. Jesper S. also worked as a Researcher at the University of Helsinki, specializing in structural investigation and protein engineering. Jesper began their career as a Research Assistant at Aalborg University and also served in the Military Service at Trænregimentet.

Jesper S. Øemig completed their education with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biotechnology from Aalborg University, between the years 2003 and 2008. Jesper S. further pursued their studies at the University of Helsinki, where they obtained a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from 2009 to 2013.
