Dr. Khairun Jivani

Dr. Khairun Jivani has a diverse work experience, starting in 2007 as a Senior Program Manager at The Community Against Preventable Injuries. Dr. Khairun then moved to the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia in 2011, working as a Manager in Road Safety Planning and Research. In 2012, they joined ICBC as a Planning Advisor in Corporate Planning. Dr. Jivani transitioned to the Canadian Cancer Society in 2014, where they held multiple roles, including Vice President of Cancer Control and Director of Health Promotion and Cancer Prevention. Dr. Khairun worked at the Canadian Cancer Society until 2021. In 2021, they joined BC Women's Health Foundation as a Senior Director of Strategy and is currently serving in that role. Additionally, in 2022, Dr. Jivani became the Vice President of Operations at AgeCare.

Dr. Khairun Jivani completed their education in a chronological order. Dr. Khairun obtained their degree in Dental Surgery (DDS) from Baqai Medical University between 1997 and 2001. Dr. Khairun pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree with a focus on Public Health and Policy from Simon Fraser University from 2005 to 2007. In 2009, Dr. Jivani pursued an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University, which they completed in 2011. Their most recent educational endeavor took place from 2022 to 2023 when they attended Harvard Medical School to obtain an Executive Global Health Leadership degree focused on Health/Health Care Administration/Management.
