Sam Sauerhaft has a diverse work experience in the entertainment industry. In 2016, they worked as a camp counselor at Oshman Family JCC and as a New Student Week Leader at Carleton College. In 2017, they interned at Roco Films and later returned as a Distribution Coordinator Intern for a winter internship in 2018. At Roco Films, they managed projects, updated film deliverables, and increased the company's social media presence. In 2018, Sam also interned at Ish Entertainment, LLC, where they assisted with sizzle reel shoots and pitched unscripted political-reality series ideas.
Sam joined WME (William Morris Endeavor) in 2019, where they started as a Comedy Floater and later became an Assistant to Agent, Comedy Touring. In this role, they handled A-list clients, drafted and executed deals, coordinated marketing, and managed payments. Sam also contributed to routing tours and selling specials to cable and streaming services.
Following their time at WME, Sam worked at Independent Artists Media as an Assistant to Talent Manager, where they managed up-and-coming artists and handled day-to-day tasks for senior manager Dave Rath's A-list clients. Sam also served as an Associate Producer on specials for Patton Oswalt and Brian Posehn. Additionally, Sam negotiated contracts, created client packages, and collaborated with various professionals to help clients maximize their income and fulfill their creative aspirations.
Most recently, Sam joined APA Agency in 2022 as a Talent Agent for Comedy Touring.
Sam Sauerhaft attended Carleton College from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. In addition to their degree, they also obtained certifications in First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross in June 2016 and Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED in April 2014.
