Robin brings over 20 years of experience in software engineering, data science, machine learning, and program management. As the technical founder of Pathway Intelligence, Robin developed and sold GIS-based Saas software to Fortune 500 and Government. Systems he built have been used by hundreds of Canada's largest employers, over 100,000 commuters in Canada and Australia, and saved many millions of dollars in transportation costs. Prior to Pathway, Robin was a Technical Program Manager at Microsoft in Redmond. There he designed and supervised the development of Fraud and Risk features for machine learning back-end infrastructure for Xbox e-commerce transactions at scale, negotiating across teams to satisfy Global Commerce, Legal, Privacy, Operations, Support, Test, Development, and Management. Earlier in his career, he designed and built high-performance scientific and engineering software for leading engineering consultancies. Robin enjoys tracking the latest in artificial intelligence and machine learning research, with specific interests in reinforcement learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. He holds a BASc in Computer Engineering degree from University of Waterloo.
