Gayathri Shivkumar

Gayathri Shivkumar has extensive experience in the fields of engineering and research, with roles at AGILE Space Industries, AbbVie, and Purdue University. Gayathri has worked as a Senior Propulsion Engineer, Senior Scientist, and Graduate Research Assistant, among other positions. Their work has included computational fluid dynamics and thermal modeling for pharmaceutical product development, plasma modeling for chemical vapor deposition of carbon nanostructures, and basic CNC programming and tool modeling for hydraulic excavators. Gayathri has also taught classes in fluid mechanics and served as a teaching assistant for Purdue University.

Gayathri Shivkumar completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from PES Institute of Technology in Bangalore, India in the year 2013. In 2015, they completed their Master of Science (MS) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University. In 2019, Gayathri Shivkumar obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering also from Purdue University. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained three certifications: Machine Learning from Stanford University, Design Control Requirements from AAMI, and Introduction to Programming Using Python from MITx on edX.
