Chris Sturges has over 20 years of professional experience in engineering, operations management, and quality assurance. In 2023, they began working as a Senior Quality Engineer for Agility Robotics. Prior to that, they were a Senior Global Quality Engineer for Vestas from 2019-2023. From 2018-2019, they were an Operations Manager for TEKFAB, where they developed predictable, scalable and repeatable business processes, leveraged Power BI to track manufacturing processes and reported KPIs on the health of critical processes, and managed and developed a team of highly skilled technicians. From 2013-2018, they were an Operations Manager and Process Engineer/Project Manager for Microsoft, where they managed the Cleanroom operations of Microsoft Surface Hub Touch Display Module (TDM), managed and developed technicians and over 50 contingent staff, and leveraged Data Analytics (Power BI) to track Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). From 2004-2013, they were a NPI Engineer for Xerox, where they were responsible for process development for new products being transferred to contract manufacturers, influenced designs and processes that promoted risk mitigation through DFX, and lead and participated in the Change Control Process via the CCB. From 2003-2004, they were a Process Improvement Engineer for Precision Wire Components, where they evaluated processes for efficiency improvements, eliminated waste, and drove Lean Processes. From 1994-1997, they served in the US Air Force Reserves as a 939th CES Civil Engineer Technician and 939th MXS Crew Chief on C-130 Rescue Aircraft. Chris also worked as a PRODUCT R&D ENGINEER for Providence St. Vincent-OMLC from 1997-2003, where they designed prototype medical devices for in vitro and in vivo pre-clinical experiments.
