Swati Gupta has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and academic institutions. They started their career as a Team Leader and Head of the Computer Vision Module at Team IGVC in 2016, where they built and tested computer vision algorithms for detecting chalk lanes and avoiding obstacles using sensors like LIDAR and Camera. They also created a system for online mapping of surroundings using continuous LIDAR and camera data.
In 2017, Swati had a summer internship at The University of Texas at Dallas, where they gained experience in NLP Lab.
After that, they worked as a Software Engineer II at Juniper Networks from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they built the architecture, design, and solution implementation for device management software specific to the Junos Node Slicing Project.
From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Member Of Technical Staff -2 at VMware, where they contributed to technical projects and initiatives.
In 2021, Swati joined the University of Pennsylvania, taking on roles such as Graduate Teaching Assistant for Applied Machine Learning, IT Support Specialist, and Research Assistant in the Daniilidis Lab. As a research assistant, they investigated model-based Reinforcement Learning for efficient and planned exploration of unknown simulation environments.
In 2022, Swati continued their role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on Learning for Robotics, Computational Motion Planning, and Applied Machine Learning.
During the same year, they also worked as a Research Intern at Qualcomm, where they conducted neural architecture search for deep vision backbones, optimized and designed ML systems for Qualcomm's hardware and compiler.
Most recently, in 2023, Swati joined Agility Robotics as a Machine Learning Engineer II - Perception Autonomy, focusing on perception tasks and autonomy.
Swati Gupta completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, spanning from 2014 to 2018. Swati then pursued a Master's degree in Robotics at the University of Pennsylvania, from 2021 to 2023. Swati also attained additional certifications, including one in Java Multithreading, Concurrency & Performance Optimization from Udemy in August 2021, and another in Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning from Coursera in May 2019.
