Shai Sela

Shai Sela is the current Chief Scientist at Agmatix. Prior to this, they were the Lead data science and agro-informatics at Agmatix from June 2020 to March 2021. Shai was also the CEO and owner of Sela Digital Agriculture Research LTD from September 2018 to January 2021. In this role, they provided agronomic and environmental data science consulting. From September 2018 to August 2019, they were the Agronomic modeling and research at Yara International. Shai was also a Visiting research fellow - crop modeling for sustainable N management at Cornell University from September 2018 to August 2020. In this role, they explored the role of N balance as a sustainability standard for US corn production. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Associate - crop modeling development and application at Cornell University from March 2015 to September 2018.

Shai Sela has a PhD in Geography from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and an MA in Geography (Cum Laude) from the same school. Shai also has a BS in Geology/Earth Science, General from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
