Mike Allton has a long and varied work experience. In 2018, they became the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Brand Evangelist for Agorapulse. In this role, they work with influencers and digital marketing agencies to create collaborative activities and opportunities for both parties to achieve their goals. Mike also co-founded 360 Marketing Squad in 2018. Prior to this, they were the Chief Marketing Officer for SiteSell from 2014 to 2018, and an International Keynote Speaker & Strategic Consultant for The Social Media Hat from 2012 to 2018. From 2007 to 2014, they were a freelancer providing internet marketing services, and from 2005 to 2007 they worked as a Sales Associate for Litehouse Pools. From 2001 to 2005, they were a Sales Manager for Viking Technology, Inc., and from 1999 to 2001 they were a Team Leader, Customer Support Center for Dana Corporation. Finally, from 1998 to 1999 they worked as an Operations employee for Great Northern Consulting Services.

Mike Allton has an extensive educational background. Mike began their studies in 1988 at Norwalk High School, where they earned a College Prep degree with a focus on English, French, and Music. From 1992 to 1995, they attended The Ohio State University and studied International Studies. In 1995, they transferred to Firelands College, BGSU, where they studied Computer Science. Finally, from 1996 to 1999, they attended Bowling Green State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Theirtory and Computer Science. Additionally, Mike Allton has obtained several certifications, including a Certified Coach of Neuro-Linguistic Programming from Captivate on Command in April 2022, a Certified NLP Practitioner from Captivate on Command in April 2022, an Agorapulse Academy Certification from Agorapulse in January 2021, and a SEMrush Certification for Affiliates from SEMrush.
