Ouri Fischel has a diverse work experience in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, business development, and education.
Starting in 1994, Fischel worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they taught Pharmacology to students in the medical, dental, and pharmaceutical fields.
In 2000, Fischel became an Instructor at Dale Carnegie Training, where they facilitated training programs. Ouri later served as a Graduate Assistant at the same company in 2003.
Fischel then joined Synergix Ltd. in 1999, initially as a VP of Business Development, where they were responsible for leading strategic partnerships and deals. Later, they became the COO and Director of Sales, overseeing the sales and marketing of software for medicinal chemists in the pharmaceutical industry and academia.
In 2013, Fischel joined IsraDevEquity as a Managing Partner, before transitioning to a similar role at BioPharmaAgro Israel Consulting in 2016. In these positions, they provided guidance and strategic support for drug discovery research and early development projects.
In 2017, Fischel took on the role of COO at POMICELL Personally Optimized Medical Intelligence, where they worked on making big data and software tools usable for pharmaceutical R&D.
Also in 2017, Fischel became the Founder of Bio-XL, an entrepreneur and accelerator for biopharma startups. In this role, they focused on launching and growing Israeli biotech companies developing protein-based biotherapeutics.
Fischel's most recent role is as the Business Development Director at agrematch, a data-science product discovery and development company. Here, they are involved in the development of Agresense, an AI computational system for identifying molecules with desired compound-organism interactions.
Through their various experiences, Fischel has demonstrated expertise in business development, strategic planning, project management, and education in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
Ouri Fischel completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Bio-Medical Management from The College of Management Academic Studies during the years 2013 to 2015. Prior to this, Fischel pursued Ph.D. studies in Biology at Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 1994 to 1999. In the years 1991 to 1994, Fischel earned an M.Sc. with Distinction in Environmental Biology from the same university. Fischel's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which was obtained between 1986 and 1989. Additionally, Fischel attended the Dale Carnegie Course® in 2002, specifically as a Graduate Assistant, where the focus was on enhancing communication skills, leadership, and management abilities.
