David Kessler

David Kessler is the current Chief Scientific Officer at Agrify Corp, a position they have held for 2 years and 5 months. Prior to their current role, David served as the company's VP of Horticulture & Customer Success, where they were responsible for maximizing efficiency on multiple levels and pushing the potential of plant genetics. Before joining Agrify, David was the SVP of Horticultural Solutions at TriGrow Systems for 3 years and 2 months. In this role, David was responsible for overseeing all aspects of projects from inception to completion, including identifying and acquiring new customers and projects, grant writing, system design, product procurement, subordinate staff management, and vendor relations.

David began their career as a horticulturist at Atlantis Hydroponics, where they quickly became an expert in hydroponics and gained experience in conducting feasibility studies on novel hydroponic systems and their fiscal projections with different business models across various countries. David also served as a grant writer for academic horticultural grants, academic grants, and small business grants. In addition to their work as a horticulturist, David also served as a STEM educator, speaking at conferences, schools, and universities regarding the use of gardening and hydroponics as a vehicle for a STEM based education. David also designed and implemented curriculum, lessons and group exercises for youth.

In 2012, David was recruited by Kennesaw State University to serve as their hydroponic consultant and farm designer. David'shydroponic installations contributed to KSU being awarded the 2013 National Restaurant Association’s Operator Innovations Award for Sustainability & Innovator of the Year.

Most recently, David served as the material control coordinator at Agrify Corp, where they wrote a manual to streamline all facets of inventory control. David also served as the community involvement director, establishing relationships with local schools, universities, non-profit organizations, and area horticultural clubs.
