José Luis Rodríguez T.

José Luis Rodríguez T. has extensive work experience in the agricultural insurance sector. From 2010 to 2015, they worked as a GMO Biosecurity Inspector for Senasica, where they were responsible for the inspection, detection, and monitoring of genetically modified corn, cotton, and soybean in the northeast of Mexico. From 2015 to 2020, they worked at ProAgro Seguros as Deputy Director of Agricultural Underwriting, where they were responsible for analyzing climatological, biological, and emergency risks for elaborating quotations for all kinds of crops in Mexico and co-developing and managing the Protected Crops Insurance Product. Currently, they are employed at Luxelare as Leader Agrinsurance, where their duties include designing and developing new agricultural insurance products based on indexes and remote sensing, as well as supporting clients to inspect claims using Luxelare tools. In 2022, they will begin working at Agritask as a Customer Success & Business Development Manager - Insurance LATAM, where they will be responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of the customer's business and technical environment to drive value across their operations, and drive retention and growth.

José Luis Rodríguez T. obtained a PhD in Horticultural Science from Universidad Autónoma Chapingo between 2011 and 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in Plant Protection Science from the same university between 2007 and 2009. José Luis also received an Agronomist Specialist in Phytotechnics degree from Universidad Autónoma Chapingo between 2002 and 2006.
