Behrooze Sirang is currently the Head of Embedded Software at Agtonomy. Prior to this, they served as the Manager of Software Infrastructure at X, which was acquired by Uber. There, they led the architecture design and development of both the middleware software libraries and the Cortex-M4 firmware for the company's autonomous sidewalk delivery robots. Before that, Behrooze Sirang worked as a Senior Firmware Engineer at iBeat, where they designed and developed firmware for a cardiac-arrest detection and health monitoring smartwatch. They also drove sensor firmware development from prototype stage through to production. Additionally, they designed and developed algorithms for wrist gesture detection and wrist skin contact quality. Their data analysis and algorithm development skills in Python using Jupyter Notebook / Pandas were integral in this role. Finally, they also designed and developed a proprietary serial protocol and API for board to board communications. Behrooze Sirang began their career as an Angel Investor at Gatsby.
Behrooze Sirang earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. They are currently enrolled in Udacity's Self-Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree program, studying Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering.
