Kidist Yacob

Kidist Yacob is a highly experienced humanitarian professional with a focus on protection and program development. Currently serving as a Programs Development & Resource Mobilization Consultant and Protection Officer at Africa Humanitarian Action since April 2023, Kidist previously held multiple roles at the Danish Refugee Council from June 2020 to April 2023, including Programme Coordinator for Resilience & Integration, where program management and community engagement were key responsibilities. Early career highlights include serving as a Protection Officer and Child Protection Officer with Save the Children International, where Kidist managed emergency child protection programs, built capacity, and provided psychosocial support. Kidist holds a Master's degree in Gender and Family Studies from Hawassa University and a bachelor's degree in Public Health from Dilla University.
