Murungi Calvin

Murungi Calvin is a Public Health Specialist at Africa Humanitarian Action since January 2022, focusing on health and nutrition initiatives for urban refugees in Uganda. Previously, Murungi held several roles within the organization, including Senior Nutrition Officer and Public Health Nutritionist from January 2017 to December 2021, managing nutrition projects in Kyaka II refugee resettlement and overseeing programming and team coordination on behalf of WFP and UNHCR. Earlier experience includes serving as a Nutrition Officer, implementing community-based management of acute malnutrition and maternal and child health nutrition programs. Murungi holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from Makerere University and a Master's in Public Health with a focus on Health Promotion from Bugema University, along with multiple relevant certifications.
