Svein Haug

Svein Haug has a strong background in the offshore industry, with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Svein is currently the VP Projects and Portfolio Management at Aibel, focusing on Offshore Wind projects. Prior to this, they served as the Project Director for Offshore Wind at the same company.

Before joining Aibel, Haug worked as the CEO of Jotne Industrier, where they successfully led the company from 2018 to 2019. Svein also worked as an Independent Consultant in the Oil & Gas industry, serving as a Corporate Advisor.

From 2011 to 2017, Haug held the position of Regional CEO for EMAS AMC AS and Regional Head for Europe & Africa. During their tenure, they played a crucial role in establishing EMAS AMC AS as a leading EPCI supplier in the North Sea offshore construction market.

Prior to that, they served as the President of Aker Marine Contractors AS, leading the company through a complete turn-around and implementing a new strategy to position it in a competitive market.

Haug also has experience as the Managing Director of Aker Subsea AS, overseeing engineering and project execution activities. Svein led the company through a restructuring phase to adapt to market conditions.

Early in their career, Haug held the role of Senior Vice President in the Umbilical & Riser Systems Business Stream at Aker Solutions. Svein had global responsibility for the umbilical & riser activity within the company.

Overall, their diverse experiences in both management and technical roles within the offshore industry make him a valuable asset in the field.

Svein Haug attended Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU) from 1979 to 1983. During this period, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Marine Technology.
