Joseph Thompson

Joseph Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Joseph is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of AID:Tech, a company that utilizes blockchain technology to deliver aid and welfare to individuals in need. Prior to this, they served as a Board Member for the Irish Bitcoin Foundation. Joseph also worked as a Senior Business Analyst for AIB, where they contributed to the Online Channel Development team and gained experience in UX design, requirement gathering, and testing in an Agile environment. Joseph was a Co-Founder of Imprez.ie, an Irish Prezi training and design firm that focused on creating captivating presentations. Additionally, Joseph worked as a Consultant at PA Consulting Group, where they evaluated Ireland's potential as a renewable energy hub and presented the findings to Enterprise Ireland for their investment strategy. Joseph also served as a Senior Consultant at Litmus Group, where they worked on a project to save a large minerals producer substantial costs over a 7-year period. Earlier in their career, Joseph held positions such as Lab Supervisor at Dublin Institute of Technology, Strategy Consultant at Ericsson, Systems Analyst at BearingPoint, and Intern at Citigroup Ireland.

Joseph Thompson has a diverse education history. Joseph started their undergraduate studies at the National College of Ireland in 2000 and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Systems. In 2004, they pursued further education at Technological University Dublin, earning a Master of Science degree in Information Technology for Strategic Management, which they completed in 2006. Joseph then attended Alliance Manchester Business School from 2009 to 2012 and obtained their Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Strategy. Additionally, in 2009, they began their studies at Technological University Dublin again, this time pursuing a Master of Science degree in Strategic Management, which they completed in 2012. Finally, in 2014 and 2015, Joseph attended the University of Nicosia and earned a Master's Degree in Digital Currencies.
