Panu Kauppila

Panu Kauppila has extensive work experience in the medical technology industry, specifically in research and development (R&D) roles. Panu is currently the Vice President of Product Management at Aiforia Technologies since 2022.

Before joining Aiforia Technologies, Panu worked at Philips for many years. Panu'sroles at Philips include Senior Director of Radiation Oncology R&D, Head of R&D for Digital Pathology, Senior Director of Global MR HW R&D, Director of R&D, and Director of Advanced Development. In these positions, they were responsible for global R&D activities, managing R&D groups in multiple locations, and overseeing the development of various medical devices and software solutions.

Prior to their time at Philips, Panu had roles at Marconi Medical Systems and Picker Nordstar, where they held managerial positions and led software projects for MRI systems. Panu also worked at Instrumentarium Corporation as an R&D Physicist and a Q&R Physicist.

Throughout their career, Panu has demonstrated leadership skills, managing large teams of engineers and overseeing the release of multiple product lines. Panu has a strong background in medical imaging and has contributed to the development of innovative solutions in the field.

From 1985 to 1990, Panu Kauppila attended Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, where they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Medical Physics and Technology.
