Usman Khan

Usman M. Khan is a Senior Data Scientist and Founding Software Engineer at Aigen, where technical development transitioned from Pre-Seed to Series A since April 2021. Previously, Usman served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Sensor Systems Lab, focusing on wireless power and machine learning projects. A research fellowship at the Center for Neurotechnology involved developing a brain-inspired spiking neural network autoencoder for real-time neural data inference, showcasing improved power efficiency. Usman's summer fellowship at the same center included constructing a coil-scanning robot for wireless power transfer, significantly enhancing simulation speed for wireless neural implants. Additionally, Usman worked as an Electronics Engineer with the Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion on plasma actuators for rocket flow control and interned in electrical engineering with SAUDI ALTERAIS TRADING INDUSTRIAL CONTRACTING, where software for power transmission calculations was developed. Usman holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Washington.
