NLP Research Engineer / AI Features Team Lead at Aigent

Lena Bayeva has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence (AI).

From 2017 onwards, Lena worked at Aigent as an NLP Research Engineer and AI Features Team Lead. In this role, they developed real-time ASR, NLP, and NLU models to handle voice and text conversational data. Lena oversaw and developed solutions for all stages of AI features, including data analysis, model training, evaluation, and deployment in production. Some of the projects they worked on included end-to-end and Kaldi based ASR solutions, emotion recognition, ad-hoc information retrieval, keyword and entity extraction, document and intent classification, and others.

From 2011 to 2015, Lena worked at Textkernel as an NLP Research Engineer. Lena worked on various projects, including document summarization, document classification, keyword mining, rendering PDF documents with column layouts, learning word embeddings, improving document segmentation and phrase extraction models, gazetteer-based extraction, and more.

From 2005 to 2009, Lena worked as a Software Engineer at IBM, Rational. Lena implemented critical features and enhancements to the Rational core build technology, improved the team development process and software quality, and participated in software development cycles of Rational products.

Lastly, from 2002 to 2005, Lena worked as a Tutor/IT Support/Research Assistant at Portland State University. Lena conducted research on data mining tools for finding mathematical structures in children's gameplays.
