Ryan Penney

Ryan Penney is a Research Analyst at AiiM Partners since September 2022, with prior experience as a Graduate Researcher at the Stanford Center for Ocean Solutions from April 2021 to April 2023, and as a Maritime Policy Analyst at China Policy from March 2018 to September 2019, where coverage focused on policy shifts in China's maritime industries. Ryan is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Stanford University, expected to complete in 2024, and holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Anthropology and Development Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (2016-2017), a Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Oceanography from the University of Plymouth (2015-2016), and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Oceanography from the University of Plymouth (2012-2015).
