Katja Garvey

Katja Garvey currently serves as the Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany at Auswärtiges Amt and is a member of the Board of Directors for GACC Midwest. Since August 2022, Garvey has acted as the National Representative for the United States within AIJA. As a Partner at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP since May 2021, Garvey focuses on global business, privacy, data security, mergers and acquisitions, and privacy compliance, particularly involving the GDPR. Previous experience includes positions at Kegler Brown Hill + Ritter and as a Staff Attorney where Garvey managed numerous court cases and legal procedures. Educational credentials include an LL.M. in Business Law from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and a 1. Staatsexamen in Jura from Universität Passau. Professional affiliations encompass leadership roles in several legal and business organizations.
