Sophie Thaon

Sophie Thaon is an experienced events organiser currently working with AIJA - International Association of Young Lawyers since January 2020, where responsibilities encompass the entire event management process from inception to post-event analysis. Prior to this role, Sophie served as a production manager at SDI Media, overseeing TV productions and managing budgets and resources. A notable year spent backpacking in Africa, Asia, and New Zealand enriched Sophie’s perspective through diverse encounters and volunteer activities. Additionally, as a client relationship manager at The Publishing Bureau Ltd, Sophie developed sales and negotiation skills while building a solid client portfolio in Brussels. Earlier experience includes significant event management at MCI Group, where Sophie successfully organised large-scale conferences. Sophie holds a Master's degree in Management International from ICHEC and a supplementary Master's degree in Human Resources from Université catholique de Louvain.
