Derrick Cho

Derrick Cho is the Founder of Ainbr, a whiskey app focused on product aggregation technology, since September 2020. Prior experience includes leading the R&D division at The Princeton Review from November 2018 to August 2020, overseeing teams in AI research, MLOps, data science, and mobile, and working on a visual search engine for homework Q&A. Prior to that, Derrick served as Head of R&D at ST Unitas from January 2017 to November 2018, where responsibilities included developing data pipelines and recommendation systems. As the Founder and CEO of Rootree from March 2016 to December 2016, Derrick created a recommendation system for K-12 math that was later integrated into ST Unitas Stella. Experience as a Software Engineer at Vingle from July 2014 to March 2016 involved work on real-time event log architecture and distributed recommendation systems, while early career experience included a software engineering role at Dotname Korea from January 2013 to July 2014. Derrick Cho earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Software and Computer Engineering from Ajou University between 2011 and 2018, following education at Sunrin Internet High School from 2008 to 2010.
