Gary Hammes has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Gary began their career in 1996 as an IC Design Engineer at Freescale Semiconductor. In 2000, they moved to Silicon Laboratories where they worked as a Mixed-Signal Digital Design Engineer for high speed networking ICs. In 2004, they joined QuVIS as a Lead Hardware Engineer and Senior ASIC Engineer, where they were responsible for real-time compressed video system architecture and design. In 2009, they were hired by Arrow Electronics, where they worked as an Altera Dedicated FAE. That same year, they also began working at RED Digital Cinema as a Lead FPGA & Senior ASIC Engineer. In 2014, they joined Tradebot as a Hardware Developer, where they were responsible for FPGA trading platform development, System Verilog, C++, and python coding, and datacenter FPGA low latency networking. Finally, in 2018, they became a Principal FPGA Engineer at Ainstein.
Gary Hammes attended Kansas State University from 1991 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
