Jolanta Rema has extensive work experience in the e-commerce and digital marketing fields. Jolanta started their career in 2002 as an Internet Solutions and Software Development Projects Manager at RIX Technologies, where they led various website development projects and worked on new product development and sales. Jolanta then joined airBaltic in 2004, where they held positions such as e-Business Manager, Head of e-Business, and VP e-Commerce. During their time at airBaltic, Jolanta was responsible for online sales of flight tickets and ancillary revenue products, as well as the development of online sales tools. In 2015, Jolanta joined Citadele banka as the Head of e-Business division, where they led the bank's pan-Baltic digital transformation and implemented new sales channels resulting in increased customers and online payments. In 2019, Jolanta returned to airBaltic as the Head of Digital Marketing and Commercial Distribution and later became the VP e-Commerce and Commercial Distribution.
Jolanta Rema has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Companies and Institutions Manager's qualification from Biznesa augstskola Turība, which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Economics, Marketing, Pedagogy, Psychology, and Teacher of Economics and Entrepreneurship qualification from Rigas Pedagogijas un Izglitibas Vadibas Augstskola, which they completed from 1996 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Jolanta has obtained several certifications, including LEAN Culture and Leadership and Certified Agile Leadership Essentials, among others.
