Louis Fourie

Louis Fourie has over 35 years of experience in the aircraft industry, specializing in roles related to quality, safety, and aircraft structures across multiple countries including New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland, and Libya. Currently serving as the Team Leader for Operation Safety and Capability and FAA Chief Inspector at Air New Zealand since May 2008, Louis has also worked as a Quality and Safety Engineer and Lean Practitioner focused on lean and 5S projects. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Structures Technician at South African Airways, where responsibilities involved overseeing a team, delegating tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety standards during heavy maintenance operations. Louis holds a range of educational credentials from institutions such as Southpac Aerospace and Kemptonpark Technical College, alongside certification from CAANZ.
