Daru Sim

Daru Sim has a diverse work experience in the field of design. They started their career at Keyframe Design House, where they worked as a part-time Web & Graphic Designer, creating collateral designs and crafting websites and web flash banners for clients.

After that, they joined AUM Hospitality as a Marketing Executive cum Graphic Designer, where they handled marketing responsibilities and created graphic designs.

In 2012, Daru Sim worked at iCRM Digital as a Web & Graphic cum Interactive Designer, where they focused on web and graphic design.

They then moved on to TBG Digital and Gushcloud as a Senior Web Designer, where they worked for nearly a year.

In 2014, Daru Sim joined eVenture Ltd. as a Senior UI & UX Designer. They were involved in various projects, including hide.me (VPN platform) and bookya.com (Entertainment platform). Their responsibilities included discussing and defining business requirements, conducting user research, and crafting wireframes and prototypes. They also defined brand and UI guidelines for the tech team.

After eVenture Ltd., they worked at Workato as a Senior UI & UX Designer, where they focused on UI and UX design.

In 2018, Daru Sim joined DBS Bank as a Senior Product Designer.

Their latest role was at Airbase, where they started as a Senior Product Designer and later became the Principal Designer, Design Systems.

Daru Sim completed their high school education at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Alor Akar (SMKAA) from 2002 to 2007, with a focus on science. Afterward, they pursued higher education at Multimedia University from 2007 to 2012. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Advertising Design degree from the Faculty of Creative Multimedia.
