Stefan Thomé

Stefan Thomé is Executive Vice President, Engineering and Chief Technical Officer for Airbus Helicopters as well as CEO of Airbus Helicopters in Germany. As a member of Airbus Helicopters’ executive leadership team, Thomé heads up the manufacturer’s engineering department. Prior to assuming this role, Thomé led new digital business models & services at Airbus Defence & Space starting in 2018.

From 2013 to 2018, he worked as Head of Vehicle Integration & Doors Engineering, leading and managing all associated activities across Airbus Helicopters, while contributing to the definition of the Division’s research and innovation policy.

Before that, he held multiple management positions at Airbus Helicopters, mostly related to engineering and industry.

Thomé started his career at Fairchild Dornier in 1998 as an engine and fuel systems specialist. He has an aeronautical engineering degree from the University of Stuttgart.
