Mike Wimsatt has over two decades of experience in product management, software development, corporate strategy, and supply chain planning. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Product Manager at Airdev. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as an Independent Consultant. From 2014 to 2019, they were the Director, Global Head of Workplace Collaboration and Productivity at Grupo Bimbo, where they assembled the company’s first global IT team, managed end user computing, messaging, collaboration, identity, and web hosting services, and led a companywide migration to Office 365. From 2010 to 2014, they were the Director, Software Development - Manufacturing & Supply Chain at Bimbo Bakeries USA, where they led and expanded an integrated product and software development team and drove the design and build of a manufacturing tool. From 2004 to 2010, they were the Director, Corporate Strategy at George Weston Bakeries, where they led the team responsible for the turnaround of a $600 million business unit. In 2003, they were the Manager, Business Development at Emenity. From 1999 to 2003, they were the Solution Planner at Agilent Technologies, where they drove product strategy and roadmaps to align with the $200 million wireless component test market. Mike began their career in 1997 as a Product Manager at Hewlett-Packard Co., where they launched a $100 million USD RF signal generator product line worldwide.
Mike Wimsatt holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, where they studied General Management & Finance, as well as a BS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. Mike has also obtained several certifications, including a Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in November 2019, a Professional Scrum Product Owner I from Scrum.org in August 2016, a Product Management Certificate from Product School in June 2016, a Developing Data Products certification from Coursera in August 2015, a Practical Machine Learning certification from Coursera in September 2014, a Regression Models certification from Coursera in September 2014, a Statistical Inference certification from Coursera in July 2014, an Exploratory Data Analysis certification from Coursera in June 2014, and an R Programming certification from Coursera in May 2014.
