Shobhit Mehrotra began their career in 2010 as a FEA Engineer at MSC Software. In 2014, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at UC Davis, where they quantified hydrocarbon emissions from oil and gas refineries in California. In 2016, they founded Airlitix Inc, where they served as CEO. At Airlitix, they were paving the way for the next generation of agricultural focused technology using remote sensing.

Shobhit Mehrotra received a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona in 2010. shobhit then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach in 2014. Finally, they earned a Master's Degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the University of California, Davis in 2016.
