Paul Schirl

Paul Schirl has over 30 years of experience in the field, starting as a Firmware Engineer at Cabletron Systems, Inc. in 1991. Paul then worked as a Firmware Engineer IV at Enterasys Networks, Inc. for five years before joining Metrobility Optical Systems as a Senior Software Engineer. Paul continued their career at Telco Systems, Inc. and Enterasys Networks, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and Senior Firmware Engineer respectively. In 2013, they joined Extreme Networks as a Senior Software Systems Engineer. Paul then worked at Omron Automation, where they held positions as Staff Software Engineer and eventually Senior Software Engineer. Currently, they are an Embedded Software Engineer at Airmar Technology Corporation.

Paul Schirl earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from the NH Technical Institute in 1989. Paul then went on to attend the University of New Hampshire, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from 1989 to 1991. In addition to their formal education, Paul has also obtained certifications such as EMT-Basic from NREMT in January 2018 and Certified PROFINET Network Engineer from PI North America in February 2016.
