Willy Fischler is a highly experienced professional in both the medical and academic fields. Since August 2021, Willy Fischler has served as a Flight Paramedic FP-C at AirMed International, while also holding the position of Licensed Paramedic at Marble Falls Area EMS since August 2009. In academia, Willy Fischler has been the Jane and Roland Blumberg Centennial Professor of Physics at the University of Texas at Austin since September 1983, following a tenure as an Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of Pennsylvania from 1979 to 1983. Previous research roles include Postdoctoral Fellow positions at Los Alamos National Laboratory and CERN, which span from 1975 to 1979. Willy Fischler completed education at Université libre de Bruxelles from 1967 to 1975.
