Head - Enterprise Customer Experience - Airtel Business at Airtel Uganda

Akisha Banugire has a diverse range of work experience. Akisha started their career as an intern Facilities Engineer at IMPACT, where they were responsible for electrical and building maintenance. Akisha then worked as an Assistant Site Supervisor at Reime before joining ROKO CONSTRUCTION LTD. as an Electrical Engineer, where they coordinated and managed projects.

Akisha later became a Key Account Manager at Jarlsø AS, specifically focusing on telecom solutions in Uganda. Following this, they worked at Capital Outdoor Advertising Limited as a Software Business Development Manager, where they led a team in Uganda and Malaysia to drive the delivery and sales of various software products.

In 2019, Akisha joined Airtel Uganda as an SME Key Account Manager in the Enterprise Business department. Akisha built and maintained relationships with SME customers and led a team to achieve revenue growth. Akisha then took on various roles within Airtel, such as Acting Head of Pricing and Marketing for the Enterprise Business and Lead of Wholesale ISP, VAS, and Data Centre Sales for Airtel Business. Currently, they serve as the Head of Enterprise Customer Experience, responsible for developing strategies to enhance customer experience and drive customer loyalty and retention of Enterprise Customers. Akisha also oversees the Enterprise Credit and Collections unit.

Akisha Banugire is currently pursuing their Executive MBA at the Quantic School of Business and Technology, with an expected completion date in 2024. Previously, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) Hons. degree in Electrical Engineering from Multimedia University. Akisha's educational journey also includes completing their A level studies at King's College Budo and their O level studies at Mt. St. Mary's College Namagunga.
