Hope Ekudu

Hope Ekudu has a strong work experience in the banking industry, with notable positions held at Airtel Uganda, dfcu Bank, Housing Finance Bank, and Barclays. Most recently, they worked as the Head of Airtel Money Operations at Airtel Uganda starting in June 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at dfcu Bank from August 2020 to June 2023. From June 2019 to August 2020, they were the Head of Business and Institutional Banking at Housing Finance Bank, and before that, they held various positions including Head of Operations and Business Technology, Head of Retail Banking, and Head of Bank Operations at the same bank. Their experience also includes working as the Head of Payments at Barclays from March 2012 to June 2014, and as a Manager of Payments and International Services at Barclays Bank from 2010 to 2012.

Hope Ekudu has a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from Makerere University, which they obtained from 2003 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Heriot-Watt University from 2008 to 2011. Recently, from 2016 to 2019, they earned a Certification from The Retail Banking Academy®.
