Hussam Baday

Hussam Baday is an experienced telecommunications executive currently serving as the Managing Director & CEO of Airtel Zambia PLC since July 2018, with previous roles including Acting CEO, Chief Commercial Officer, and Marketing Director. In addition to this, Hussam holds the position of Chairperson at GSMA Zambia and Co-Chair of the ICT Digitalisation & Media TWG at PPDF Zambia, both since November 2023. Prior to Airtel, Hussam was the Chief Marketing Officer at Sudatel Telecom Group, where significant revenue growth was achieved. Earlier experience includes service management roles at Ericsson, technical support at Huawei, and a foundational career at PAE and the University of Khartoum. Hussam's educational background includes an MBA from the University of Leicester and an Executive Education in Organizational Leadership from INSEAD, complemented by several marketing certifications.
