Shawn Kocher, CFO, CPA

Shawn Kocher, CPA, has a long history of experience in the finance and accounting field. Shawn began their career in 1995 as an Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. In 1998, they moved to Lance, Inc. where they held the role of Manager of Financial Reporting and Financial Analyst. Shawn then returned to Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1999 as a Manager of Technology Risk Consulting. In 2001, they moved to Solectron Technology as a Financial Reporting Manager. In 2002, they joined Wachovia, A Wells Fargo Company as a Vice President of Corporate Accounting & Reporting. In 2009, they joined Ally Financial Inc. as a Director of Global Functions Finance. In 2010, they became the Chief Financial Officer of N4Group, a startup company focusing on Fiber-To-The-Home solutions. In 2011, they joined Garretson Resolution Group as their Chief Financial Officer. Finally, in 2016, they joined Airwavz Solutions, Inc. as their Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. At Airwavz, they built the entire finance/accounting function from the ground up, closed 4 of the 5 rounds of preferred totaling ~$50,000,000, closed 2 of the 4 convertible notes totaling ~$4,000,000, closed the company's first credit facility of $7,000,000, closed the books for the company, worked with an external accounting firm to complete annual audit/tax requirements, ensured compliance with all debt covenants, managed/forecast cash position, established the company's expense reimbursement policies, ensured interest rate risk was properly hedged, ensured A/R was collected with zero bad debt, created the company's annual budgets, prepared Board packages and participated in quarterly Board meetings, prepared monthly review packages and participated in monthly reviews with major investors, established and managed payroll and benefits, established the general ledger, managed compliance with regulatory filings, created purchase order workflow process and required approvals, and created the company's first Key Performance Indicator dashboard leveraging SalesForce data and a process built in Microsoft Access.

Shawn Kocher obtained their Bachelor of Science in Accounting from UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business in 1995. Prior to that, they attended Garinger High School from 1987 to 1990. In addition, they hold the Certified Public Accountant certification.
