Elizabeth Lam has held a variety of roles in the past few years. In 2018, they were the Command & Data Handling Lead - Spacecraft Division at Space Concordia, where they worked in a multi-disciplinary team of 40+ students and was responsible for the software design and architecture decisions for SC-ODIN. In 2019, Elizabeth was a Graphic Designer at McGill University, where they revised the organization's visual identity and provided visual identity guidelines, redesigned and provided 24 different illustrations of their mascot, and updated presentation slides by creating 43 new illustrations. In 2020, Elizabeth was an Embedded Software Intern at MPB Communications Inc., where they drafted the software specification for an upcoming laser beacon product, prototyped and validated a communication protocol between laser diodes and a micro-controller, and created a lightweight shell for command testing. Lastly, in 2021, Elizabeth was an Online Programmer at Ubisoft Montréal, where they rebuilt the SRE team's Health-Checks application's infrastructure in Terraform and Terragrunt to be deployed on AWS, increased security in the Health-Checks app by removing hardcoded keys and passwords and moving them to vaults, and optimized the Gitlab pipeline used for the deployment of Health-Checks infra. Elizabeth is currently a Junior Site Reliability Engineer at Aiven, starting in 2022.
