Maxim Muzafarov

Maxim Muzafarov has a diverse and extensive work experience in the IT industry. Maxim is currently working as a Senior Open Source Software Engineer at Aiven since November 2022. Prior to that, Maxim has held various positions and roles in different companies.

From 2019 to the present, Maxim has been actively involved in The Apache Software Foundation. Maxim has served as a member of the Apache Ignite Project Management Committee (PMC) and also as an Apache Ignite Committer.

Before joining The Apache Software Foundation, Maxim worked at NDA from 2017 to 2022. In this role, they served as a Staff Open Source Engineer. Maxim was responsible for the development of a low-level database component of an IT platform used for creating business applications.

Prior to NDA, Maxim worked at Luxoft from 2015 to 2017 as a Senior Java Developer. Maxim contributed to a Big Data project aimed at creating a Hadoop ecosystem-based centralized repository of data for analytics and decision-making processes.

Maxim also worked as a Senior Java Developer at Rostelecom-Integration from 2014 to 2015, as a Java, PL/SQL Developer at NVision Group from 2012 to 2014, as a Software Developer at Peter-Service from 2010 to 2012, and as a QA Engineer at CBOSS from 2009 to 2010.

Overall, Maxim Muzafarov has a strong background in software engineering, open-source development, and Big Data projects.

Maxim Muzafarov completed their Bachelor's degree at Moscow State University from 2003 to 2007. Maxim further pursued their education at MIREA (Russian Technological University) from 2006 to 2012, where they obtained a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree with a focus on Software and Computer-based Systems.

In addition to their formal education, Maxim Muzafarov has also acquired several certifications. In 2013, they obtained the Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional (OCP PL/SQL Developer) certification from SITRONICS IT. Furthermore, they completed various online courses such as "Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 1" and "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems: Part 1" through Coursera in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Maxim also achieved certifications in "Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 2" and "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems: Part 2" in 2015, both from Coursera Verified Certificates. Most recently, in 2021, they became a top contributor for Ignite Project Awareness at GridGain Systems.
