Adreen Azman

Epitaxy Process Engineer at Aixtron

Adreen Azman has a strong background in engineering, with a focus on MOCVD (metalorganic chemical vapor deposition) epitaxial growth. They began their career in 2006 as a QC at KOMAG Malaysia Sdn Bhd. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as a Lecturer at KPTM-UiTM. In 2012, they joined the Malaysian Nitride Research Group, where they conducted research on V/III semiconductors and focused on optimizing non-polar GaN on non-polar foreign substrates for applications in the laser market and solid-state lighting. In 2017, they became an MOCVD Engineer with a PhD at the Collaborative Research in Engineering, Science & Technology (CREST) Center. In this role, they led the development of III-nitride-based blue LEDs and gained expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining MOCVD and other fabrication equipment. In 2022, they transitioned to Infineon Technologies as a Process Integration Engineer, specializing in process integration. Most recently, starting in 2023, they joined AIXTRON SE as an Epitaxy Process Engineer.

Adreen Azman has a comprehensive education history in the field of physics. Starting in 1999, Adreen pursued a Degree in Physics at USM, Penang, which lasted until 2001. After several years in the field, Adreen furthered academic achievements by obtaining a Master's degree in Physics from Universiti Malaya in 2011. This specialization in low dimensional materials research led to a PhD in Physics at the same institution from 2013 to 2014. Adreen focused on the V/III Semiconductor Nitride family, specifically studying the epitaxial growth and mechanism of MOCVD. Alongside these educational endeavors, Adreen also has an experience listed at TIKL, however, no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this particular period.
