Daniel Harris

Daniel Harris has a strong background in information security, working in various leadership roles throughout their career. Daniel is currently the CISO at AJ Bell since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of IT Security at GAM Investments from January 2020 to June 2022. Daniel also held the position of Chief Information Security Officer at OpenPayd from August 2019 to January 2020. Before that, they worked as the Head of Information Security (CISO) at SMBC Nikko Capital Markets Limited from August 2016 to August 2019. Daniel's experience includes serving as the Chief Information Security Officer for the UK Insurance business unit at AXA Insurance Company from January 2012 to August 2016. Daniel started their career as a Software Developer at NatWest Group in October 2004 and later transitioned into the role of Senior Information Security Analyst from November 2007 to June 2010. Overall, Daniel Harris has a diverse and extensive work history in information security leadership positions.

Daniel Harris completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mining Engineering at the University of Leeds from 1999 to 2002. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science at UCL from 2002 to 2003. In addition to their academic qualifications, they obtained certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in April 2013 and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)2 in February 2013.
