Justin Petersen

Justin Petersen has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Justin started their career in 2005 as an Investment Banking Analyst at Piper Jaffray & Co., where they supported middle-market private equity firms in sales of portfolio companies. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as a Corporate Finance Analyst at Strategic Hotels & Resorts, contributing to financial planning, investor relations, and capital markets transactions.

Justin then joined Allscripts in 2009 as a Senior Financial Analyst. In 2010, Justin returned to Strategic Hotels & Resorts as a Corporate Finance Associate, responsible for financial planning, board reporting, and executing capital markets and joint venture transactions.

In 2014, they transitioned to Sidley Austin LLP as an Associate Attorney, representing real estate investment companies in complex transactions and advising on corporate governance.

In 2017, Justin joined Farmer's Fridge as the Vice President of Finance and Legal. In this role, they played a crucial part in the company's financial and legal operations, securing significant venture capital financing and overseeing the establishment of various teams during a period of substantial revenue growth.

Most recently, Justin joined AJ Capital Partners in 2019 as the Senior Vice President of Finance before being promoted to Chief Financial Officer in March 2021. In their current position, they oversee various functions such as finance, portfolio management, HR, and IT, ensuring the development and operation of transformative real estate assets.

In addition, Justin also studied at the University of Iowa College of Law from 2011 to 2014, completing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
