Shay Sofer

Shay Sofer is an experienced Engineering Manager currently at Akamai Technologies since April 2020, previously serving as a Senior R&D Team Leader. Prior to Akamai, Shay held various roles at Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. from October 2013 to October 2019, including Technology Lead and R&D Team Leader, overseeing a team of full-stack developers and managing the complete product lifecycle. Shay started the career as a Software Engineer focusing on server-side infrastructure Java development and also has experience in Android application development from October 2012 to October 2013. Educational qualifications include a degree from Universitat Ben Gurion Ba-Negev, completed in 2013.
