Eirik Vasstein

Eirik Vasstein has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Eirik began their career as a Motorman/Cadet at Norwegian Cruise Line in 2000 and worked there until 2002. Eirik then joined Royal Caribbean International as a 2nd Engineer, where they worked until 2007. From 2007 to 2012, Eirik worked at Farstad Shipping ASA as a 1st Engineer. Following this, they joined Solstad Farstad ASA in 2012 as a Chief Engineer, where they managed the operation, maintenance, and repairs of the vessels' mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. In 2022, Eirik joined Aker BioMarine ASA as a Chief Engineer.

Eirik Vasstein's education history includes attending the Maritime technical institute in Aalesund from 2002 to 2004, where they studied Marine Engineering. Prior to that, they attended the Aalesund maritime school from 1999 to 2000, focusing on VK1 Ship Mechanical College. In 1998-1999, they studied Basic Mechanics at Aukra videregående skole. Additionally, Eirik holds a certification as a 1st Class Marine Engineer from the Norwegian Maritime Authority.
