David Quintero

David Quintero has a strong background in technical safety engineering and risk management. David is currently working as a Lead Technical Safety Engineer at Aker Solutions since February 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Principal Technical Professional - Safety Engineering at KBR (UK) from March 2019 to February 2021. Before joining KBR, they worked at MES, serving as a Principal Risk and Process Safety Engineer from January 2017 to February 2019 and as a Senior Risk and Process Safety Engineer from August 2015 to January 2017. David also gained experience as a Risk and Process Safety Engineer at Baker Engineering & Risk Consultants, Inc. Europe from October 2011 to July 2015, and at Monaco Engineering Solutions Ltd as a Risk and Safety Engineer from May 2010 to October 2011.

David Quintero has a Master of Science in Engineering (MSc.(Eng)) in Process Safety and Loss Prevention from The University of Sheffield, which they obtained in 2010. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng.) in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes, which they obtained in 2008. In terms of additional certifications, they are a TUV Functional Safety Engineer in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) from TUV Rheinland, which they obtained in 2016. David also holds a certification in Combined Firefighting and Offshore Survival Training (including BOSIET, HUET, and EBS), obtained in 2012.
