Thorvardur Johannesson

Thorvardur "Thor" Johannesson is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in investment management and corporate finance. Currently serving as a Senior Investment Manager in the CFO Office at Aker Solutions since July 2012, Thor is involved in new business ventures, software developments, and business expansion. Thor's expertise includes large-scale M&A, R&D and fixed assets investments as a member of various corporate committees. In addition to owning a rental and refurbishment real estate company, Thor held the position of Head of Finance at ix3 and has extensive experience at Íslandsbanki, contributing to significant business restructuring and product development across various sectors. Thor holds multiple advanced degrees, including an Executive MBA in Energy from Nanyang Technological University and an MSc in Corporate Finance from Reykjavik University.
