Seth Polansky

Seth Polansky has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles.

Starting in 1999, Seth worked at Scient as a Technical Architect and Director of Engineering. Seth managed development and technical resources for client engagements, defined technical architecture and infrastructure, and collaborated with both business and technical personnel.

In 2001, Seth joined First Data as the VP of Architecture, where they collaborated with the CTO, COO, and Product Managers to establish scope, priority, and budget for a new payments platform. Seth also managed a budget of $25 million.

After that, Seth worked at Visa as the VP of Engineering, managing the applications development department and supporting applications in a robust production environment. Seth also ensured performance, reliability, and availability standards were met.

At eBay/PayPal, Seth served as a Director, taking charge of developing and proposing a roadmap for a cloud product offering on the Trinity infrastructure. Seth also drove the product roadmap and built a full team.

Subsequently, Seth joined PayPal as a Director of Engineering, leading the Risk Product Development organization and collaborating with product managers to deliver new platforms and features. Seth also integrated Fraud Sciences assets into the organization.

Following PayPal, Seth worked at Yahoo! as the Sr. Director of Engineering, and at Silicon Valley Bank as the Head of Engineering for Global Digital Banking.

Most recently, Seth has been the Head of Engineering at Invitae since 2018. And starting in 2022, they will be joining Akido Labs as the Head of Engineering.

Seth Polansky holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology. The exact duration of their education is not provided.
