Heather R.

Heather R. currently serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, a position held since April 2018, following a role as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager at the same firm. Prior to this, Heather R. was the Manager of Learning and Development at Norton Rose Fulbright from October 2016 to March 2018 and served as the Assistant Director at Sponsors for Educational Opportunity from November 2014 to October 2016. In that role, Heather R. was responsible for identifying, recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and matching over 80 diverse intern candidates with summer internships at law firms across several key locations. Heather R. holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Brown University and a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, along with training from the Institute of Culinary Education.
