Robert Tharp

Robert Tharp has extensive experience in engineering and management within the manufacturing and technical support sectors. Currently serving as a Project Engineer at Akron Brass Company since 2000, Robert provides after-sale technical support for the Industrial Systems product line and is involved in electrical design for various projects. Previous roles include Mechanical Test Engineer, District Sales Manager, Production Support Manager, and Machine Shop Lead Supervisor at the same company. Robert's career began as a CNC Machinist at TNT Machining LLC and Parker Hannifin, followed by a role as Service/Application Engineer at Welsh Machinery Co. Robert holds a degree in Tool & Die Apprenticeship from the Akron Machining Institute, alongside education from various institutions including Green High School and Stark State College.
