Shashikant Nagre

Shashikant Nagre has over five years of experience in the biotechnology industry. From 2018 to present, they have been working at Akston Biosciences Corporation as Manager of Upstream Process Development, Scientist-III of Process Development, Scientist-II of Process Development, and Scientist-I of Process Development. From 2016 to 2018, they were employed at Sanofi Genzyme as a Process Engineer-I, where they worked in the late stage Cell Culture development group and designed, developed, and optimized mammalian cell culture processes in benchtop reactors and Wave bioreactors. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at Pfizer as a Bench Scientist - Cell Culture, where they worked on next generation manufacturing projects to support early stage development of antibodies and recombinant proteins in bioreactors. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they worked on nanoparticle based therapeutic approaches to evaluate cytotoxicity, synthesized hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles, and determined intra-cellular drug delivery of anticancer drugs conjugated with nanoparticles using Confocal microscopy imaging in mammalian and bacterial cells.

Shashikant Nagre obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Amravati University between 2008 and 2012. Shashikant then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell between 2013 and 2015.
